OUGD504. HIG QUALITY - LOW QUALITY. WORKSHOP WITH LORAINE.

So we had a really interesting and useful session
with Loraine about high and low quality packaging.
We were set in groups and had to bring in 5 examples
of packaging that we found trough the week.

I really enjoy the chineses packaging that I bought
from the chinese super-market in town. I think it's quite
exiting to look how packaging works with an unfamiliar
language.

These are David's products , he asked me to take a
picture of this, so I did.

So Loraine set us a task to  arrange everything in three
groups: HIGH QUALITY, MEDIUM QUALITY,
LOW QUALITY and than  do a list of craters   of how we
decided which is which.  Apparently we found out
that it's really subjective.

Three rows.

It was quite hard to decide because packaging depends
on so many criteria. Personal taste included which makes
it hard to decided what is what. But I did enjoy having a
good discussion with Joel, Mike, David and Luke.

The criteria that we decided in a group of 5.

THE CRITERIA EVERYONE AGREED ON:

HIGH

nice feeling stock
sustainability
looks expensive
durability
net complexity

MEDIUM

ethembral
disposability
durability
familiarity

LOW

overcrowding
garish colours
looking mass produced
poor quality
mimicking
unnecessary packaging
