DESIGN SKILLS.BRIEF2.TYPEFACE. POSITIVE CHRIS. FINAL PIECE.

This is my final piece for Chris's alphabet soup typeface.

1. I measured the sheet so that it would fit 26 letters and 6 glyphs 4x8
2. I draw the letters to the sheet measuring all the bass-line, x-hight, even the  ears and bowls.
3. Traced everything on the original sheet with a pen
4. Traced all the letters on the A1 tracing paper.

Then on friday we had the studio crit in groups. Every pear had to present the others work and say do thei like it, does it represent the person (me) and what's it about. Chris did my alphabet using my obsession to my bass guitar. It's quit round and groovy. I really liked it. F was a spider and g was me screaming at the spider. Because I'm terrified of spiders. I really liked it and the name tag was awesome, he used colours and texture. I think it's really readable and legible. I wear it near my student card all the time. Thank you Chris.

My alphabet was about Chris being a very smily (as You can see below) and positive person.
The idea was, that all the typefaces have smiles, except  for B (bananas), M (mar-mate), O (olives) and T (tea) because when it comes to these items he cannot be smily anymore for one or another reason.

I learned after the crit that I should produce few examples of capital letters. Just to have an idea how would they look like. And that's what I'm going to do.
